Agreements Courses

The PJVA Agreements Courses are designed to familiarize learners with the types of joint venture agreements used in the industry:

  • Construction, Ownership and Operating Agreements
  • Unit Agreements
  • Service Agreements

In this three course series, learners are introduced to the agreement, to its purpose and to the business issues that these agreements are designed to address.

The lessons include "real-life" industry examples of business issues. Exercises ask the learner to discover how the agreement deals with them by consulting online versions of the appropriate agreement.

Please note, PJVA eStudies online courses DO NOT count as credits towards MRU Certificate Program at this time.

Joint Venture
Administration Course

The PJVA Agreements Administration course is designed to familiarize learners with the common PJVA model agreements used in industry today.

Learners work through the course with the aid of the PJVA Joint Venture Administration Manuals. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will be able to:

  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of how to fulfill the requirements of the Administrator role
  • Navigate a joint venture agreement confidently
  • Differentiate between the responsibilities of being an Operator versus non-Operator
  • Demonstrate effective business communication skills
  • Describe the uses of the different types of joint venture agreements and their relationships to each other
